Welcome to Hirondelle Farm, the ultimate in French holiday homes, open all year, including Christmas and New Year!

If you are looking for a really clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped French gite to rent as a
Holiday home in France, you have found it!

The village of Saint Aubin des Chateaux, with its picturesque riverside picnic area, is less than a kilometer from the farm. The French market town of Chateaubriant is a scenic bicycle ride of about 6 kilometers. The ferry port of Saint Malo is less than a two hour drive through some of the most beautiful parts of Brittany en route to the Western Loire.

Set in the beautiful Western Loire only 6Km from the walled historic town of Chateaubriant, Hirondelle Farm nestles in the hamlet of Le Perray surrounded by peaceful fields of corn-on-the-cob and sunflowers. Whilst nearby properties (we have 11 neighbours) are owned by local French residents, Hirondelle Farm self catering French holiday homes are owned by Dave and Doreen Joyner, formerly of Bournemouth, UK.

The area is famous for the fishing available in local lakes, rivers and canals. Carp, Roach, Pike and Mullet are some of the most popular catches. The lovely French towns of Rennes, Angers, Laval, Nantes and St Nazaire are within an hour's drive from the Farm. As are the beaches at La Baule and St Brevin.
The French holiday gites have been tastefully renovated and offer very comfortable holiday accommodation. The renovated Stable and FarmHouse have retained all the original French character with exposed beams and woodburning stoves. Both French holiday homes have their own private gardens, including patios and BBQs, and parking facilities. The FarmHouse has an integrated above ground pool surrounded by timber decking, a children's play area with two swings and a see-saw. We also offer free bicycle loan to our self catering holiday guests. Please note that although we welcome families with children we regret we cannot accept animals.

Living on site, we will welcome you when you arrive for your French holiday and can always be on hand to recommend a restaurant, or the best shopping centres, but we will respect your privacy at all times.

In the holiday gite we supply a welcome pack to all our guests of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and a bottle of local wine just in case you arrive late in the day. Enjoy your French holiday! Holiday prices are per week and include all linen (English pillows are provided), crisp cotton sheets, fluffy hand and bath towels, gas for cooking, and water for basic domestic use. Some electrical points are UK, no need to bring an adaptor on this French holiday.

We provide following types of services:- I)Lovely French FarmHouse with it's own private pool for your next vacation in France:- For a great vacation - The Family Holiday Accommodation to Rent in France. If you have a larger family and you are planning a holiday to France, you may want to rent both the Stable and the FarmHouse for your holiday in France. 1)Accommodation on the ground floor of the FarmHouse-: Large lounge, 6 metres by 6 metres with comfortable seating. A woodburner in the original French fireplace. Good sized family dining area with a farmhouse table and chairs. Back door leading to the garden in the old orchard. 2)The accommodation on the first floor of the FarmHouse-:There are 2 good sized bedrooms, one en suite. Plus the main bathroom with toilet, fitted vanity unit and shower. The triple room (opposite) with one double bed and one single bed, is a good sized family room. Bedside cabinets, dressing tables and built in wardrobe. 3)Outside the FarmHouse:-This self catering holiday home has a large private, enclosed garden, formerly the old orchard, with patio, all garden furniture and a BBQ. An integrated above ground 5.5 metre pool, surrounded by timber decking, for the sole use of guests in the FarmHouse rental. (Open May to September.) Two swings for the children, plus free bicycle loan (no need to rent) if you are feeling energetic on your holiday in France! There are 28 designated fishing areas (mostly carp) within easy reach of Hirondelle Farm, in the Western Loire, France. Some fishing is available all year round in France, others are more seasonal.
