For Pallavi International Hotel, it has been a transformation from being a home for the salvation of the rulers of Hathwa Raj of Bihar in the 19th century, now a classified Hotel a get away in eastern Uttar Pradesh where one can enjoy all the trappings of the former royalties. The Hotel promises to its visitors the twin advantage of a princely grandeur topped with the princely laidback lifestyle. Fascinated by the picturesque landscape of the placid Ganga and the religious ambience of the city, the rulers of Hathwa Raj constructed the palace in the heart of the town. The palace turned hotel has witnessed its golden period during the days of late Maharaja Krishna Pratap Sahi hailing from a royal family and having a long history of over 3000 years.


The Palace retained all the paraphernalia of a royal abode like the Durbar hall, sepoy lines, mahavathkhana and so forth. The royalties of Hathwa along with their family members and courtiers used to come to this holy land of Shiva regularly and spend months in this millennia old city. With the passage of time, the royal estates began losing their sheen. This palace, too, remained neglected for years after the Independence.

After the untimely demise of her husband Maharaja Gopeshwar Pratap Sahi, his queen Maharani Durgeshwari Sahi & her son Maharaja Bahadur M.P. Sahi took command over family matters including this sprawling estate at the age of 35. She renovated the palace suitably. Her venture gave a new shape to this palace converting it into a hotel in 1984. Though it was converted into a Heritage Class Hotel, its old belongings relating to the Indian culture like its paintings, carvings and antiques remained intact.

Presently, the Hotel is being looked after by Mr.K.K.Singh, the nephew of Maharani Durgeshwari Sahi, who himself belongs to Sambay Estate of Bihar. This Doon school product brings to bear a long experience of working with different multinational companies to his job. Mr. Singh job does not only include the task of making his clients comfortable but also to apprise them about the rich heritage of the hotel.

On his initiative, the hotel is being given a new look with Heritage paintings adorning the rooms and various halls. Singh claimes that the Hotel recorded ten per cent growth over last year?s business because of its quality service.

He points out that a chain of Pallavi International Hotel is likely to come into existence in the near future with the opening of a five-star hotel at Patna and a four-star hotel at Kolkatta.

Conference Hall:-A royally decorated and suitably laid out Banquet Hall for conferences, official / Private get together parties Launching of products / sale etc, which can accommodate about 200 persons. Banquet and convention facilities are also available in 'Vatika' for 35 persons and in 'Swayambar' ( for over 1000 persons ) which has huge cemented open space with solemnizing spot 'Mandap' for marriages , needs and formal /informal. Sarovar:-Full Size Swimming Pool with lush green garden a place to relax and also to conduct pool side parties/ get together for 150- 200 pax. Restaurant:-Centrally Air-conditioned restaurant caters for every "ones" meals requirement on plan / as required basis . With the team of qualified staff , tastefully and hygienically prepared Indian, continental, Mughlai, Tandoori, South-Indian cuisine is served. Chinese dishes is our specialty.
