Pirongia Hideaway, nestled at the base of Mt Pirongia in the heart of the Waikato in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand.
Situated on an acre of land in the quiet village of Pirongia, the property is well endowed with trees and shrubbery to give that feeling of privacy and relaxation.
We provide accommodation - Homestay or Bed and Breakfast - together with friendly company, great meals, 3 rooms with comfortable beds, a swimming pool and decks for outdoor dining, with plenty of space for rest and relaxation.
With easy access to numerous tourist destinations and attractions, it is the ideal place to use as a base for your explorations or as an overnight break for the weary long-distance traveller.

We Provide Following Services. Our Services are : 1. Arts and Crafts :- Woodturning, Outdoor Furniture, Museums, Art Galleries, and plenty of Craft Shops are dotted throughout the Waikato, plus much much more. 2. Activities and Entertainment :- The area is rich in New Zealand history and also has cultural, sporting and leisure activities to suit all tastes. Here are just some of the activities available within a short distance of our Hideaway: A. Golf - at least 8 courses within 30 minutes drive. B. Clydesdale Horse Stud - take a ride or go for a picnic. C. Horse treks. D. Rock climbing, Caving, Bush Walks, and Tramping. E. Skiing, Mountain Biking, Swimming, and Surfing. F. Fishing (River, Lake and Sea), Kayaking, Ballooning and much more. Some of the Annual events in the area are National Fielddays (Agricultural and Farming Expos), Pirongia Raceday, Pirongia Craft Day, Te Awamutu Rose Festival, Round Lake Taupo Triathlon and Cycle races, plus many other activities in various places throughout the Waikato. Food and Wine :- The Alexandra Hotel in Pirongia provides a well-priced meal in Jenny's Snug, or you can have a drink with the locals and a meal in the bar. It is only a short drive to Te Awamutu or Hamilton if you want to travel further afield for an evening's entertainment and meal. There is a wide variety of restaurants and night clubs in Hamilton, together with a casino if you feel lucky. Te Awamutu also provides a variety of cuisine or bars for those who wish to dine out.
